Who Stand and Wait, Vol.1
(Fits 6"x10" Hoops)

1922-D, Retail Price $45.95

This set of designs features four separate bands that can be arranged and stitched as shown, or choose the top band and stitch it as an individual design on a pillow top.

Created in 1917, Blue Star Service Banners were a common sight during WWI and WWII. Brought back into circulation by the American Legion in 2001, the banner is displayed to show that a family member is currently serving in the Armed Forces. Gold Star Service Banners are displayed to show that a family member has died while serving. Each star represents one family member.

"The crowd clamors loudly as they march by.
The voices resonate.
But who cheers for the souls who are left behind --
The ones who stand and wait?

With hardly any notice to set your mind in gear
Goodbyes are whispered, tears wiped back,
And they're no longer here!
The heart's blood of the family is left to contemplate
The responsibilities that were once shared
By those who stand and wait.

Mothers, fathers, daughters, sons,
Wives, and husbands entwined as one.
All together we number great --
Those of us who stand and wait."
