Grandpa's
pockets jingled
as he walked across the field.
He'd hold my hand and I would guess
what treasures they would yield.
Sometimes
there were pennies,
and sometimes there were slugs.
Sometimes there were fishing lures,
and sometimes there were bugs!
Now
I am a grandpa
and to keep kids on their toes
my pockets have real treasures --
They're stuffed wtih Cheerios!
