My mother has a quiet strength, and I know it comes from God.
There's no other human who could singly walk
the steps she has joyfully trod.
She has been the strength to others when she has barely had her own.
Mom knows where her seeds are planted,
and how to nurture each one sown.
She's showing signs of slowing down. Her pace is not quite so snappy.
Yet, I know my mother's heart is full,
and her life is, oh, so happy!
My mother's crown of glory will glisten with countless jewels.
Listening ears with non-judgemental tears,
comfort and encouragement are her tools.
Her life is my example. There's alot I've learned as I've grown.
The guidance that has gone before me
is what I hope to pass down to my own.
