doing another bedroom ensemble that includes this queen sized
quilt (86" x 86"),
the wallhanging,
two neckroll
pillows, and
one square accent pillow.
Whether
you're up close, or
looking from a distance,
you'll enjoy the ease of our newest row-by-row project.
Here are some
closer
views
of
some of
the quilt
blocks
and
sashings.
Each block has its basic shape taken from a traditional pieced
quilt block
(you'll recognize quite a few of them!)
and is embroidered with tiny tulip motifs to create the design.
In addition to the quilt blocks, there are also different embroidered
sashings for each row.
Here's a closeup of one block so you can see the
intricate tulip motifs.
A NEW row will be introduced for $25.00 every other Wednesday
until the entire project is finished.
With the first row, you will get your design files and complete
instructions for assembling the quilt top.
Here are our basic
lap quilting instructions in case you choose this method for
your project.
If you use a high loft quilt batting, the blocks are designed
to have a beautiful TRAPUNTO effect!
The designs are digitized so the outer frame stitches first,
which is essentially forming a permanent "basting" stitch.
This will assure perfect placement of every stitch in the design.
Most files have ONE or NO jumpstitches.
If you love redwork, this is an ideal project for you!
My "Tulip Traditions" quilt ensemble is stitched
with red Marathon
Poly thread on
100% cotton muslin
and a combination of red and green Marathon
Poly thread
for the wallhanging and accent pillows.
Of course, you'll want to choose YOUR favorite color for this
project!
Since the designs are not very dense, a lightweight or mediumweight
stabilizer is suggested.
The entire project will be 13 rows.
After you purchase Rows 1, 2, 3, and 4, then
Row 5 will be FREE.
After you continue and purchase Rows 6, 7, 8, and 9, then
Row 10 will be FREE.
