The Southern Magnolia Tree shown above is the medallion
style quilt top
of our next Row-By-Row project.
There will be special corners and borders on the quilt, as well
as lots of other pieces
in our first IN-THE-HOOP ensemble.
I have finally figured out how to make a
large and heavy in-the-hoop project STURDY enough to withstand
repeated machine washing and drying, yet maintain the beauty and
integrity of the design!
This ensemble has such great flexibility that you can easily
make it for a twin, full, queen, or king sized bed with only minor
modifications!
As with all of our other Row-By-Row projects,
you will receive complete instructions easy enough for a novice
seamstress
to understand and have fun doing.
There
are only six colors of thread and minimal jumpstitches.
How does our Row-By-Row project work?
It's easy!
Every other Wednesday, a portion of the ensemble will become available.
The number of designs you receive each time will vary due to the
design of the project.
Each portion of designs will be available at the introductory
price of $25.00.
This price will NOT change until the entire project has been completed.
Not only will this be a fun project, but you'll learn a brand
new in-the-hoop technique!
The complete ensemble will include 132 designs for the quilt (or
bedspread),
17 designs for the wallhanging,
8 designs for the dresser scarf,
16 designs for the table topper for small bed table,
10 designs for 2 accent pillows,
2 designs for drawer sachets,
25 designs for a small quilt (or spread) to drape over a chair
or to snuggle up with while watching TV,
Complete instructions with lots of step-by-step photos!
There will be 210 designs in the complete ensemble.
The Introductory Price to receive ALL 210 designs will be $250.00
spread out at $25.00 every other week until the entire ensemble
has been made available.
This comes to an average of $1.20 per design.
However, individual designs are NOT available.

Suggested Fabrics:
A combination of 3 tightly woven cotton fabrics-
1 medium or small print for background fabric (or flat sheet)
2 coordinating solid colors for embroidery
Fabric Amounts for 5x7 Hoop:
I cut my blocks to 9" x 11" which gives me 16 blocks
per yard of 45" fabric.
**8 yards background print (two lengths
of 3 yards each stitched together for background + 2 yards for
decorative sashing). Or you can use a flat sheet if you don't
want sashing.
**10 yards MINIMUM solid #1 for 135
blocks -- get extra if possible
(Solid #1 makes the blocks for the tree medallion of the bed quilt,
drawer sachets, table topper, and TV sized quilt.)
**5 yards MINIMUM solid #2 for 72
blocks -- get extra if possible
(Solid #2 makes the blocks for the bed quilt border blocks and
corner blocks, wallhanging, accent pillows, and dresser scarf.)
These designs are slightly dense, so use
a medium to heavy stabilizer. A tearaway stabilizer is ideal if
you don't like stabilizer in your seams.
If you use a larger hoop, figure your yardage for 135 blocks of
Solid #1 and 72 blocks for Solid #2.
