Blue Star Service Banners
Vol.1 (6x10), Vol.2 (5x7), Vol.3 (4x4)

This set of designs features five separate banners.

Created in 1917, Blue Star Service Banners were a common sight during WWI and WWII. Brought back into circulation by the American Legion in 2001, the banner is displayed to show that a family member is currently serving in the Armed Forces. Gold Star Service Banners are displayed to show that a family member has died while serving. Each star represents one family member.

EASY PROJECT SUGGESTION:
Stitch a banner on white felt, back it with a second layer of felt, and attach a gold cord as a hanger and hang it from your car's rearview mirror.
