In the quilt above, there is a thread of continuity woven between the blocks
-- with both color and quilting stitches.

To achieve an exquisite quilted effect,
after you complete the machine cross stitching,
slide a lowloft batting beneath the hoop and then a bottom layer of muslin.
Finish the design by quilting with white backstitching - the last color in the design.
Then use the lap quilting method to finish your beautiful wallhanging!
With this process, you can make an heirloom quilt in a matter of days
instead of months or years.
