**PROJECT IDEA**
These machine embroidered cross stitch designs
are sized to perfectly fit in the distinctly woven blocks
of the Lady Elizabeth Afghan.
Enjoy the whole apples, half apples, bitten apples, and finally -- the apple core!
Using a cutaway stabilizer,
center one stitchable woven square of the afghan in your hoop and embroider it.
On a loosely woven fabric such as an afghan,
it is important to use a cutaway stabilizer.
This will prevent your cross stitches from becoming distorted.
If your afghan will be used very much,
I suggest that you cut a square of cotton muslin
to cover the back of each embroidered square.

TIP: Be sure to have the weight of the afghan evenly distributed
and NOT disturbing the motion of your hoop
when you are embroidering the designs.
This will help assure a perfect stitchout.
