These twenty-five machine embroidered cross stitch designs featuring some of the most recognizable baby critters in gingham and calico
are sized to perfectly fit in the blocks of this afghan.

Each of the letters are matching yellow calico designs.

Using a cutaway stabilizer,
center one stitchable woven square
of the afghan in your hoop and embroider it.
On a loosely woven fabric such as an afghan,
it is important to use a cutaway stabilizer.
This will prevent your cross stitches from becoming distorted.
If your afghan will be used very much,
I suggest that you cut a square of cotton muslin
to cover the back of each embroidered square.

TIP: Be sure to have the weight of the afghan evenly distributed
and NOT disrupting the motion of your hoop
when you are embroidering the designs.
This will help assure a perfect stitchout.
